Having Purpose
“Purpose is a forward-looking directionality, an intention to do something in the world,” he says. “It’s different than a goal, which can be accomplished. Wanting to be a father is a goal because it is achievable. But to be a great father is more of an intention than an achievement. On some days, one might come closer to the ideal than others, but it is never a completed task.”

This week’s challenge is tough!! I want you to look at your goals with health and fitness through a different lens. Goal setting is a HUGE part of what we do, but often times the goal starts to feel like the treasure at the end of the rainbow. We either get there and feel like the journey is over, or we find that we are not getting to our goal fast enough and it can create stress and frustration.
The actual challenge this week is to embrace health and fitness as a journey. Let your consistency and attitude determine your success. By switching the perspective, you will still hit the goals and PRs you are aiming for, but it becomes much easier to weather the struggles you will inevitably encounter.
Steps:
- Trust the Process
- Stay Consistent
- Know that there is NO finish Line
- Stay Positive
- We GET to Workout, we don’t HAVE to work out
